Activity Yachting has been an IYT approved Training Establishment since 2001, and the first to offer IYT courses in Croatia. We have been operating our Flotilla and Training operation since 1999 from our base on Murter in central Dalmatia, where we offer a unique mix of Learning to Sail, with the option of getting approved Crew and Skipper Certification, while having a Flotilla Holiday, all at the same time.
This area has an indented mainland coastline, with historic towns and cities like Sibenik and Zadar, lively tourist resorts like Biograd, Primosten and Vodice, as well as numerous other smaller traditional towns and villages. Just off the coast then there is the probably largest combination of smaller and larger islands in easy reach of each other, of anywhere in the Mediterranean. In a sailing week we visit a combination of the above locations, allowing you to get an authentic feel for the country while having a great sailing holiday. The Kornati and Krka national parks are in also in this region, and because of the flexibility of distances, it is a perfect area for combining Learning to Sail or Skipper a Yacht, while also having a Sailing Holiday. There are Airports in Split and Zadar which are both about an hour's drive from our base and these offer loads of international flights from April to October.
From this base our qualified team will spend the season training groups to the International Crew, Flotilla and Bareboat Skipper and ICC levels. We are also an approved Instructor Training centre and higher level recreational courses are also available. In addition we work with many local yacht charter companies so that newly qualified skippers can come back and charter a yacht on their own, but then sail with the flotilla, so that they still have additional back up and Instructors to hand if required. This unique option allows a very good choice of yachts and is an excellent way newly qualified skippers, or those with inexperienced crew to develop their skills, while still having an enjoyable sailing holiday.
